LANCASHIRE FA trial 'silent weekend' at youth matches

The idea being that spectators keep very quiet during games so that young players are not intimidated.

This bloggers opinion (although not necessarily that of the club) is that you can't compare the school drama production to a football match. You do shout and get excited at professional league games so it's instinctive to do the same at youth level.  How you go about this, however, is down to the individual to decide. Decent people should be able to understand that it's only a kids football match and keep their excitement appropriately levelled. The manager should also set an example with his/her behaviour too, which in my experience, isn't always the case!

Great win for U16

absolutely fantastic to see the U16 win 3-2 against top of the table Moordoen today! Brilliant work rate by everyone, putting in every bit of last effort. A superb, hard fought result. Well done lads!

U6/U7 Trials a huge success!

Lots of happy, smiling faces today at the U6/U7 trials. The club are very pleased with the turnout and the positive response from all the parents. These young players are the future of our club and we welcome them. Some very talented players in this crop also, which is always encouraging at such a young age.     

U10 seeking a striker for 2014/15

The U10 team manager welcomes enquiries from players who would like to join our friendly & talented team for the 2014/15 season and 2014 summer tournaments.

We are moving up to the 9v9 format and need to add to our squad.

We are primarily looking for a striker/goalscorer with pace but all types of players are welcome.
